Bio

I’m a writer, editor, and poet from Colorado, currently based in Austin, where I received an M.F.A. (2024) from the Michener Center for Writers. I’m also a content strategist with editorial, communications, and programmatic experience.

I have published a wide range of nonfiction, from reporting for Gothamist and Westword to cultural criticism and features on books, music, and the arts for outlets like the Texas Observer, The Los Angeles Review of Books, and SPIN. My poems have appeared in journals including Best New Poets, Missouri Review, and Gulf Coast. I’m currently at work on a debut novel and collection of poetry.

I’ve brought my passion for justice, literature, media, and the arts to bear in a variety of social impact, editorial, and museum roles. Most recently, I worked as a social media and digital content consultant for the Vilcek Foundation. Previously, I was a program coordinator at PEN America, where I worked for the Artists at Risk Connection (ARC), connecting persecuted artists to a global network of resources, managing digital content and communications, and writing about threats to artistic freedom and human rights through advocacy, reports, and web content. I have also held roles at the Whitney Museum of American Art, the Dia Art Foundation, and the Austin Film Society. I graduated from Colorado College (2018) with a B.A. in English Literature.
