Bio

I’m a writer and poet from Colorado and current candidate for an MFA at the Michener Center for Writers in Austin, Texas. My poetry has appeared or is forthcoming in journals including Gulf Coast, Image, and Salamander, and I’ve received support from the Provincetown Fine Arts Work Center and 92nd Street Y. I have published a wide range of nonfiction, from reporting for Gothamist and Westword to cultural criticism and features on books, music, and the arts for outlets like The New Inquiry, The Los Angeles Review of Books, and SPIN. I was previously a regular contributor to Consequence of Sound, wrote fiction reviews for Publishers Weekly, and created poetry guides for LitCharts.

I’m currently at work on a debut collection of poems exploring memory and forgetting through the twin lenses of illness and the Israeli occupation of Palestine.

I’ve brought my passion for literature, justice, and the arts to bear in a variety of editorial, non-profit, and museum roles. Previously, I was a program coordinator at PEN America, where I worked for the Artists at Risk Connection (ARC), connecting persecuted artists to a global network of resources, managing digital content and communications, and writing about threats to artistic freedom and human rights around the globe through advocacy, reports, and web content. Prior to PEN America, I held roles at the Whitney Museum of American Art and the Dia Art Foundation, and have also worked at the Austin Film Society. I graduated from Colorado College (2018) with a B.A. in English Literature.
